Andrew Jervey Horne, a life long resident of James Island, SC passed away unexpectedly on July 7, 2021 at the age of 31.
Andrew was born in March 1990 to Kimberlin Kone and Archie Horne. His childhood was filled with camping trips, beach days, theme park vacations, adventures on Folly with his older sister, lots of love, and football. Andrew grew up with a love and passion for Football. He started his football career as number 7 playing for Westchester and James Island Rec Center. He later played quarterback for James Island Charter High for a few years before transferring over to Charleston Collegiate High where he and his team won the state championship. After graduation, he returned to help his father coach future generations of football stars.
Andrew was the life of every party and he lit up every room. He loved music and going to music festivals and concerts with his beloved friends. He recently started his own business making acrylic keychains, coasters, and other items to sell at the festivals he attended. He was always coming up with new inventions and business ideas.
Andrew had the biggest heart and the best sense of humor. His smile and laugh were contagious and he will be deeply missed.
Andrew leaves behind his father and stepmother Archie and Patti Horne; mother Kimberlin Kone; girlfriend Kayla Chestnut; sister and brother-in-law Kaci and Chris Freeman; brothers Ryan Hampton, Austin Horne, and Shaye Kone; nephews Oliver and Brennan Freeman; niece Presley Freeman; many aunts, uncles, grandparents, cousins, and friends as well as one dog, Hank.
A celebration of life was held July 13, 2021 where over 300 people came to celebrate such an amazing young man.
Andrew was sunshine and sunshine NEVER dies. We love you Andrew! We will hold you in our hearts until we can hold you in our arms again.
