Anne Haselden Gregg, 96, of Hanahan, SC and widow of Jimmy Gregg, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Sunday, August 4, 2024.
Anne, also known as Granny, was born in Florence, SC on March 11, 1928, the daughter of Herbert and Dorothy Haselden.
Anne was a graduate of Newberry College and worked for many years alongside her husband at Wildwood Furniture, which they owned and operated from the late 1950s until the mid-1970s.
She loved to sew and was an accomplished seamstress, creating countless dance costumes and cheerleading uniforms as well as several wedding dresses and tons of "regular" clothes.
She also loved Edisto Beach, the Atlanta Braves, bowling, reading, Bingo, and a cold Pepsi, but most of all she loved her family, her friends and her church. She was a dedicated member of Yeamans Park Presbyterian Church for over 65 years.
She had recently moved to The Blake at Carnes Crossroads where she was lovingly cared for by the staff and the friends that she made in the few short months that she was there.
Anne was the beloved mother of Kristi (Denny) Lynch, Jim Gregg and Becky (Scott) New; grandmother of Tonia (Jonathan) Epps, Mark (Danielle) Lynch, Elizabeth (Mike) Zaitz, Jamie (Jessica) Gregg, Dustin Gregg, Allison (Jason) Spagnolia, and Anna (Robert) Vick. She is also survived by 13 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and her brother, Will Haselden.
A celebration of Anne's long and loving life will be held at Yeamans Park Presbyterian Church, 5931 N Murray Drive, Hanahan, SC, on Tuesday, August 13 at 1 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Yeamans Park Presbyterian Church.
