Barbara was a devoted wife to Ted for 69 years. They were truly a united team in every sense of the phrase. In addition to raising their five children, Barbara worked alongside Ted for many years at his Architectural Firm on Long Island NY, performing bookkeeping, payroll, and other administrative tasks. For many years the duo enjoyed family vacations to St. Maarten with treasured friends made along the way. In retirement, Barbara and Ted found much happiness at the Governor's Club in Chapel Hill, NC.
Barbara was an accomplished seamstress who took classes at the Fashion Institute of New York during her years living on Long Island. She particularly enjoyed knitting sweaters for her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to making clothing for her family, she often shared her skills with friends and was always willing to lend a hand to those in need.
Barbara remained social and active throughout her life. She enjoyed playing tennis and golf and she had a special fondness for the game of Bridge. Annual trips to Canyon Ranch Spa with her beloved sister Mary and her daughters were also important to Barbara. Her absence is felt deeply by her beloved husband Ted and their close-knit circle of family and friends.
There will be a Celebration of Life for Barbara in July for her family.
