Bertha Ory Lindfors (Ory)

Bertha 'Bee' Ory Lindfors YONGES ISLAND, SC - Bee Lindfors, born 1938 in Vacherie, LA, died in Mt. Pleasant, SC, on October 4th, 2014 of lung cancer. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul R. and Jessie B. Ory, and her husband of 43 years, John A. Lindfors. She has five siblings, Marnell Hall (deceased), William Ory (deceased), Richard Ory, Veronica Champagne, and Joseph Ory. Bee is survived by her daughter, Marie Peikert of Riverside, CA; son, Christopher Lindfors of Summerville, SC; daughter, Victoria Driggers of Charleston, SC; daughter, Elizabeth McDowell of Mt. Airy, NC; niece, Margaret Berg of Albuquerque, NM; and her 13 grandchildren: Nicholas and Bryan Kislingbury, Elana Driggers, Kaya and Kayla McDowell, Logan Van Alstyne, Gary and Joshua Graham, Mackenzie, Gabriel, Jacob and Josiah Lindfors, and Chelsea Berg. The family would like to thank Roper Hospice for providing wonderful care with a heartfelt special thank you to her care team: John, Sarah, Francine and Jay, Hospice House of Charleston, and the many friends and relatives who have assisted along the way. Her family invites family and friends to join them for the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church on Wallenberg Blvd. Charleston, SC, on October 14th, 2014 at 11am. Preparations are made by Palmetto Cremation Society and there will be a private interment for the immediate family at a later date.
