Betty Airstone Poston entered into eternal rest on December 28th, 2018.
Widow of Robert Fulton Poston, Jr. Mrs. Poston was born January 15th, 1926 in Crane Moor, Sheffield, England. Daughter of the late Llewellyn and Mary Anne (Crossland) Airstone. She attended Church of England schools in Yorkshire, England. Betty Poston was a retired Office Manager with Salmons Dredging Corp. She was a past president of The International Club (The British Club), past board member of The Charleston Family "Y" and was a member of The Church of the Holy Cross Episcopal Church (Sullivan's Island).
A memorial service will be held at The Church of the Holy Cross (Sullivan's Island) on January 9th, 2019 at 2:00pm.
Surviving are one son R. Derek Poston and wife Darlene, one daughter Kathleen Anne Massey and husband Thomas. Four grandchildren: Christopher D. Poston, Keith P. Poston, Ian L. Chapman, Emily M. Brecheisen and seven great-grandchildren: Savannah, Kirsten, Clarissa, Lorelei, Cooper, Emory and Sawyer. She is also survived by several well loved nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Church of the Holy Cross Building Fund. Arrangements entrusted to the care of Palmetto Cremation Society, 11 Cunnington Avenue, Charleston SC, 29405.
