Brenda Kay Green

Ms Brenda Kay Green, 61 of Wadmalaw Island, South Carolina, passed away on Monday, June 24, 2024.

Born on August 13, 1962 in Batesville, IN was a daughter of (the late) Linda Green (Hunter) and James Green.

Brenda was a selfless person. She always put others needs above her own, and always leant a helping hand to those in need, even in the face of her illness. She provided love and nurture to all around her; both people and animals. Everyone around her felt her love through her cooking, acts of service and her listening ear.

Brenda encompassed the values of a mother through the care that she provided to anyone who could need her without judgement and with unwavering love.

She spent many days in nature connecting with her creator through wildlife.

When she wasn't in the kitchen, she would be at the beach or in her backyard reveling over the beauty in even the smallest details of nature.

To know Brenda was to know an unconditional love and a contagious laugh. She was able to brighten anyone's day even if it was through inappropriate humor.

Brenda spent her life fighting through obstacles and keeping a smile on her face regardless of any challenging circumstance. Her motto was "no mud, no flower" much like how a lotus flower grows through mud to bloom into a beautiful blossom.

May we all learn the lesson she left behind to forgive others quickly and to love others fiercely. She not only taught this, she lived it. To live every day as if it were your last is the way she lived and would want her loved ones to remember.

Brenda is preceded in death by James Green (Father), Linda Green (Mother).

Brenda is survived by Holly Gantt (Daughter), Brandy Snyder (Daughter) and Ryan T Snyder (son-in-law), Ely Snyder (Grandson), Bella Snyder (Granddaughter) and Charlie Parker (Grandson), whom she loved very dearly.

We will be holding a celebration of life at a future date and will announce it once planned.
