It is with our deepest sorrow to announce that Caroline Ruth Peacock, 61, of Savannah, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2023.
Born May 9, 1962, Caroline was a curious, intelligent, and determined individual who loved to laugh. She was witty and sharp, her unique sense of humor being at the forefront of her interactions with others. She had a passion for the deaf community and loved to reminisce on the time she spent teaching deaf children, and continued to serve the deaf community as a therapist until her health no longer allowed her to. She had an insatiable passion for learning and loved to discuss her most recent findings with anyone who would listen. Conversations with Caroline easily jumped from satirical and light to profound and deep in the snap of a finger. She was a mother, a grandmother, a sister, a daughter, and a friend.
Caroline, above all else, was an artist. She saw beauty and potential in everything around her and turned the simplest items into an elaborate work of art. The medium never mattered. Whether it was paint, fabric, yarn, beads, or paper, she created pieces of beauty and expression in all that she touched. There was no limit to her creativity. She shared her art with everyone and readily offered to help others learn how to accomplish their own versions of art. The world feels a little darker without her here, without her spark and passion to create and learn and laugh. Yet, she passed these passions on to others, to strangers, acquaintances, and her family and friends. In that way she remains, as we remember her best by sharing those things in which she so held dear, we honor her memory.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents. Caroline is survived by her children, Samantha Bass (Daughter), Cassie Wodicka (Daughter), Kristin Suggs (Daughter), Dillon Macaluso (Son) and Dustin Macaluso (Son), their spouses and her eight grandchildren Anastasia, Zach, Mikaila, Chance, Dominic, Miles, D.J. and Arthur; her parents, father Thomas Peacock, his wife Peggy Peacock, and her mother Heather Harris and her husband Bob Harris; her sisters Pam Blanton and Nancy Ritter-Peacock and their families as well as many loved cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.
