Charles John Roakes

Chuck was born on September 12th, 1964, in Charleston, SC to Aimee Moon Roakes and Cecil Roakes. He passed away with family by his side on Monday, May 8th. 

Chuck was a shrimper and shrimp boat captain. Shem Creek is where he spent his life. He was also in the Army, but white boots is where he wanted to be. He was employed byt Captgain Tang Boat. 

He is survived by Marilyn Simmons Roakes, his two daughters Amber and Brittney Roakes, stepsister Jennifer Ackerman, two stepsons D. Parker Davidson, Stephen McGee; Two step granddaughters Blythe and Carrie Ackerman, and one great grand, Skyler Moren. He was also survived by two brothers Archie Schirmer, Robert Roakes, Carl Mark Murino, adopted sister Alice Roakes Baird, Uncle Teddy (Sherry) Moon, and nephew Dustin. He is also survived by his grandchildren Landon, Christian, and Rosalee.
