Christine M Van Leir

Christine Marie Van Leir, 55, of North Charleston entered into eternal rest on February 27, 2020.

Born on December 24, 1964 in Meadowbrook, PA, Christine was the daughter of the late Edward B. Van Leir and Lorraine Ulmer.

Christine was actively involved with the Muscle Car community in the Lowcountry, and was a member of Coastal Carolina Corvette Club for a number of years, including hosting a yearly car show to benefit her favorite charity, Happy Wheels. Christine loved her dog Tessa, rock n’ roll, and gardening with her Granddaughter.

Christine is survived by her brother Stephen Van Leir, of Superior, CO, her half-sister Mandi Van Leir, of Jacksonville, FL, her son Matthew DePuy, of Sumter, SC, and her daughter Cheryl DePuy, of North Charleston, SC. Christine was a doting Memaw to her beloved granddaughters, Delilah, Cecilia, and Lolah.

A Memorial service for Christine will be held on Monday, March 9, 2020 at 2pm at Palmetto Cremation Society, 5693 N. Rhett Ave., North Charleston, SC 29406. The family will be receiving guests after the service at 7743 Desoto Dr., North Charleston, SC 29420.
