Daisy Glynn Johnson Elsner (Johnson)

October 2, 1919 — December 16, 2012

Daisy Glynn Johnson Elsner was born at home in Meigs, Georgia on October 2, 1919. She lived her adult life in Macon, Georgia before moving to Charleston, South Carolina to live with her daughter and son-in-law. In Macon, she made an impact on the fashion scene as sales manager, hat model and a New York buyer for Goldman’s. She was an avid golfer in Middle Georgia and at Riverside Golf Club, where she was a member of the illustrious Hole in One Club. She was a Christian and a member of St. Andrews Presbyterian Church on Bass Road in Macon. She lived her life well and to the fullest. She is survived by her brother Hollis (Dolly) Johnson of Blue Ridge, GA., her daughter, Harriet (Henry) Futch of Wando, SC, grandsons Hank (Nolie) Futch & George (Lynda) Futch of Mount Pleasant, SC, and Hal (Tyler) Futch of Charlotte, NC, as well as several nieces & nephews, and 7 great-grandchildren. Family graveside interment will be Wednesday at 1 pm at Riverside Cemetery in Macon, Georgia. A memorial service will be held at St. Andrews Church in Mt. Pleasant on Thursday, December 20th, at 11 am. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Backpack Buddies Program at St. Andrews Church in Mount Pleasant.
