Daniel Edward Heible

May 16, 1951 — August 13, 2014

WADMALAW ISLAND - Daniel Edward (Sniff) Heible, 63, of Rockville, SC, husband of Cynthia Teague Heible, passed away early morning August 13, 2014 at his residence with his wife at his side. “Sniff” was born May 16, 1951 in Lansing, Michigan, son of Vera Hollis Heible and the late Edward Lewis Heible. The family moved to Rockville when “Sniff” was 4 years old. Following his retirement from ARAMARK after thirty years, there was time for his passions; hunting, fishing, boating, and being a good neighbor to all. “Sniff” was a kind and gentle soul. He surprised us with his ability to make quick, dry wit remarks at the most appropriate times. He was a gift to all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his father, his brother Todd Hollis Heible and an infant son, Daniel Edward-Albert Heible. Surviving is his beloved wife and caregiver, Cynthia “Cindy”. Also surviving are his mother Vera; his daughter, Jeannie Ann Heible Wilson and husband (Joel) of Summerville; two step-daughters Jennifer Lanier Smith (Jim) of Hanahan, Christina Lanier Knight (Randy) of Charlotte, NC; two sisters, Julie Heible Boan of James Island, and Diana Heible Wrenn (Whitley) of Charleston; and a brother, Scotty Heible of Charleston. Survivors include his four grandchildren Samuel Becker Wilson, Owen and Marion Smith, Ellington Knight and a host of nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Roper Hospice 1483 Tobias Gadson Suite 208A, Charleston, SC 29407. ARRANGEMENTS handled by Palmetto Cremation Society, Inc., 11 Cunnington Ave., Charleston, SC 29405. WWW.PALMETTOCREMATIONSOCIETY.COM Online condolences may be left at www.palmettocremationsociety.com August 23, 2014, 5 pm – 8 pm, a gathering of Family and Friends of “Sniff” will be held on the grounds of “The Hall” (Sea Island Yacht Club).
