Donald H. Olson CHARLESTON - Donald H. Olson, husband of Evelyn Justice Olson, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 28, 2014 at the Hospice House. Mr. Olson was born May 15, 1927 in LaCrosse, WI, son of the late Clarence and Rosa Olson. He was a veteran of the US Navy and served our country in WWII. He was a member of Carolina Bay Church and dearly loved his church family. Don enjoyed playing Bingo, telling jokes to put a smile on your face and going to hockey games with his dear friends. Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Donna Evans (Greg) of Tomah, WI; a son, Robert Koch (Francine) of Vancouver Island, BC Canada; brother, Kenneth Olson (Sally) of LaCrosse, WI; grandchildren, Nicklus Evans (Tiffany Pierce) of Brookfield, WI, Jenna Evans (Oakley Moser) of Tomah, WI; stepchildren, George D. Justice, Jr., Carla Justice Cook (Mike); 4 step-grandchildren and 2 step-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents, a brother, Melvin Olson, sister, Vivian Paisley and stepson, Buddy Justice. The family would like to thank Dr. David Ellison, Mary MacDonald, PA-C, Ashley Archibald, PA-C, Stephanie Poole Washington (for going above and beyond) and his favorite nurse, Sue Fleming and all the staff at CHOA. A memorial service will be held Sunday, April 6, 2014 at Carolina Bay Church during their 11:00 a.m. morning worship service.
