Dutch Lee Binnarr Mr. Dutch Lee Binnarr, age 79, husband of Alvaleane White Binnarr, entered into eternal rest Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at his home in Summerville. Dutch was born March 26, 1935 in Charleston, South Carolina, son of the late Clem Hendrix (Dutch) Binnarr and the late Mary Rebecca Rivers. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Dutch joined the United States Army in 1954, during the Korean Conflict, and was a paratrooper in the 187th Battalion, serving in Japan. He met his wife, Alvaleane White, while they were both on active duty. They moved back to Charleston in 1956. Dutch worked 35 years as a civil service employee at the Charleston Air Force Base. He served 40 years in the SC National Guard and US Air Force Reserve, where he attained the rank of E-9 Chief Master Sergeant. He was a Flight Examiner Loadmaster and participated in the World Airlift Rodeo. Dutch was a lifetime member of Carolina Masonic Lodge #375, in Hanahan, SC. Survivors include his wife Alvaleane White Binnarr originally of Fastrill, Texas; one daughter, Diana Freeman (Harry)of Summerville, SC; two grandchildren, Jamie O'Rourke (Leon) and Joseph Tilman, of Moncks Corner, SC; four great-granddaughters, Isabella O'Rourke, Nichole Tilman, Rosalie Tilman and Rayna Tilman, of Moncks Corner, SC; one brother, David Binnarr, of Summerville, SC and one sister, Dianne Scarboro, of Cottageville, SC; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Arrangements are entrusted to Palmetto Cremation Society. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2014, at 1:00 PM at his home in Summerville.
