Elizabeth Mary Lacy

Elizabeth Mary Reed Lacy, widow of Jackson Welch Lacy, passed away on Thursday, July 7, 2016, at the age of 87, at her home in Summerville, SC. Elizabeth was born in Bexhill-on-Sea, Sussex, England to the late Arthur Leslie and Evelyne Reed, of St. Albans, Heartfordshire, England. Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Beverly Evelyne Pace of Summerville, SC, and son, John Jackson Lacy of Beaufort, SC. She is also survived by two granddaughters, Amber Jean Nichols of Summerville, SC and Doreen Ward of Beaufort, SC, and a grandson, Phillip DeMann of Beaufort, SC. She has three great-granddaughters, Alexis Rae Byrd and Kylie A. Mae Byrd of Summerville, SC and Casey Thornton of Jacksonville, NC. She also has two great-grandsons, Wyatt and Cooper Thornton of Jacksonville, NC. Elizabeth is also survived by a sister, Jo Bentley and a brother, George Reed, both of St. Albans, Heartfordshire, England, along with nieces and nephews. Elizabeth is pre-deceased by her husband, Jackson W. Lacy, son, David Reed Lacy, and parents, Arthur and Evelyne Reed. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses at the Beaufort and Summerville congregations. Graveside services will be on Friday, July 15, 2016 at 11 a.m. at Beaufort National Cemetery, where she will be laid next to her husband.
