Emmie Hill Day

Emmie Hill Day, 97, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, peacefully entered into eternal rest on January 21, 2017 at her home. Emmie was born in McClellanville, SC, on December 31, 1919, the daughter of the late Henry B. Hill and Henrietta Baker Hill. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Raymond Daniel Day Sr. and her brother, Henry Hill of Charleston. She is survived by her son, Raymond Daniel Day Jr. (Jane) of Seneca, SC; daughter, Rhett Day of Mt. Pleasant; granddaughter, Renee Shelley of Charleston; grandson, R. Ashley Shelley of Charleston; grandson, D. Brian Day (Jaime) of Columbia, SC; great-grandchildren, Corbit Hodges of Charleston, Taylor Hodges of Charleston, Danielle Shelley of Charleston, Skye Rathke of Kansas City, KS and Thomas Daniel Day of Columbia, SC. A Memorial Service honoring the life of Emmie Day will be held at a later date. Arrangements by Palmetto Cremation Society, Charleston, SC
