Gary Lawton Salisbury

Born in Columbia, SC on August 3, 1955, Gary passed away peacefully at his home in Charleston, SC on August 4, 2022.

Gary is the son of the late Dr. Hal Salisbury and Barbara R. Salisbury.  He had been an educator for several years and loved to sail, shop and watch TV.  He was a longtime and devoted dog-lover, especially to his two Shih Tzus, Tang and Roxy.

He is survived by his mother, Barbara Salisbury of the home, his sister Lynn Salisbury Viands of Folly Beach, SC and a brother, Curt Salisbury of Lakeland, Florida and Ravenel, SC.   He will also be lovingly remembered and missed by his niece, Lindsey Moore Altman, nephews Evan Moore and Josh Salisbury, and the many other family members and friends who were a huge part of his life.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Hal Salisbury, and a sister, Cynthia Ann Salisbury.
