James Edward Bates

James Edward Bates, 65 of Ladson, South Carolina, formally of Glen Cove, NYdied on Thursday, October 4, 2012 after a long battle with diabetes and complications following hip surgery. Surviving are his loving wife, Dianne and sons, William and Thomas of Charleston, SC. The family will receive friends at Peace Presbyterian Church located at 174 Londonderry Road, Goose Creek, SC 29445 on Sunday, October 21, 2012 from 5:00PM until 6:00PM . A memorial service will follow immediatley, In lieu of flowers memorial donation may be made to Open Hearts Open Doors Project at Peace Presbyterian Church or a veterans charity of your choice.
