James Arthur Parfrey

James Parfrey, 80 of Charleston,SC passed away on Thursday, October 12, 2023.

Born on June 4, 1943 in Buffalo, SD, Jim was a Son of the late Dorothy Parfrey (Iverson) and Junior Parfrey.

Jim was a rodeo cowboy where he rode horses in his hometown. He later became a Veteran of the United States Army. Jim created a successful concrete business in Baltimore, MD where he helped build many businesses including Johns Hopkins Cancer Center. Jim was a loving father and devoted Grandpop. Jim and his children use to compete in sailboat races in the Chesapeake Bay where they won many races. Since then Jim spent his time fishing, and fixing cars, and building houses with his sons. Jim will be dearly missed by his family. 

James is preceded in death by his parents, two sons James A. Parfrey Jr. and Jon Michael Parfrey.
James is survived by Justin Parfrey (Jamie), Jared Parfrey (Nicole), and eight grandchild- Jon, Luke, Nick, Cayden, Addison, Emerson, James, and Atlas.
