James Richard 'Ricky' Sarvis

James Richard 'Ricky' Sarvis, 59, of Charleston, South Carolina passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2016. Ricky loved to ride his bicycle and enjoyed being outdoors. He enjoyed boating with his friends in Jacksonville, FL, loved working for Lyerly's Dry Cleaning Business in Charleston, SC and appreciated life, joy and happiness. He had a great love for people and animals. He was a kind-hearted person and loved everyone he came in contact with. He loved to work in the gardens and fields with his mother. Ricky is survived by his nephew, Christopher Donn Maulden; aunt, Martha Harper; and numerous nephews, nieces, family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, mother and brother. Ricky will be laid to rest at a later date in the spring or early summer in the Oak Park Cemetery in Wakulla County, Sopchoppy, FL in the National Forest with his mother, grandmother and grandfather. Sadly, his mother’s beloved guide dog Charlotte also passed away in August 2015 and will also be laid to rest with Ricky.
