James Behling Swindler

James Behling Swindler, 52, of Pelion, South Carolina, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2025.

Born on January 18, 1973, in Columbia, SC, James was the son of the late Charlotte Curry and Robert "Bob" Swindler. He was a lifelong fan of football, especially the South Carolina Gamecocks, and had a love for Star Wars. More than anything, James was someone who always wanted to help others, a trait that defined him throughout his life.

James earned an Associate's Degree from Midlands Technical College and took pride in his ability to lend a hand whenever it was needed. Whether through his kindness, generosity, or simply offering a listening ear, he believed in making a difference in the lives of those around him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charlotte Curry and Robert "Bob" Swindler, and Stepmother Terri Swindler. He is survived by his son, Austin Swindler, and his brother, Robert Swindler.

 Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Palmetto Cremation Society - Columbia, 1733 Airport Blvd, Cayce, SC 29033.
