James Thompson

James N. Thompson, 74, of Mt. Pleasant, passed away October 22, 2013 at Hospice House in Mt. Pleasant. He was born and raised in Chester, SC and graduated in 1962 from Clemson College. He retired from Springs Industries after 40 years of service. Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Jane Harper Thompson; son Kevin Thompson (Wendy) of Lancaster, daughters Robin O'Bryant (Rob) of Laurens, SC and Beth Dantzscher (David) of Mt. Pleasant. Together they have six grandchildren: Logan, Zack, Hannah, Kate, Whitney and Chase. A memorial service will be October 24, 2013 at Sunrise Presbyterian Church on Sullivan's Island at 2:00 pm. Interment will be at a later date in Beaufort, SC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Hospice of Charleston Foundation, PO Box 417, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29465.
