Joan Cracknell Terry

Joan Cracknell Terry of Charleston, widow of Buddy Terry, passed away on Sunday, October 7, 2012. Joan was born April 13, 1922 in Cheltenham, England to Eugene and Rose Cracknell. Joan worked for the American Army in France during WWII, worked for the U.S. government stateside, and later retired as a court reporter. Surviving are three children, Leslie Hazzard (Harvey), David Terry (Vivian) and Julie Masty (Lee); five grandchildren, Scott Hazzard MAJ USAF Reserve, Terri Hazzard Weaver (Martin), Dr. Brianne Terry, Chris Terry (Alison), Bret Terry (Samantha), and three great-grandchildren, Noah and Hudson Terry, Mackenzie Terry; a brother, Rex Cracknell in California; three half sisters, Molly Oliver of New Zealand, and Peg Pocock and Janet Camp of England. Funeral services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Joan’s memory to the Low Country Lutheran Hospice, 1885 Rifle Range Road, Suite 46, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464.
