John Wayne "J W" Fetterolf

Mr. John Wayne "JW" Fetterolf , 60, of North Charleston, South Carolina, passed away on Saturday, December 21, 2024 while surrounded by his immediate family.

Born on October 23, 1964 in Summerville, SC. JW danced to the beat of his own drum, literally. He was skilled in many trades and very proud of his work. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and hunting. JW was happiest spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. He was known for his larger than life personality, his elaborate stories, and never met a stranger. JW was a committed spouse, loving father, and proud Papa who will be deeply missed by all those around him.

John is preceded in death by his father, Wayne Fetterolf; his grandparents, Glenna and Elizabeth Fetterolf, John and Bennie Langston; along with additional loved ones.

JW is survived by his spouse, Michelle Chisolm; his children, Clifton Walsh, Melanie McDermott (James), Heather Vickers, Tyler Chisolm (Kailey), Shayna Kaleen Chisolm-Fetterolf; his grandchildren, Cheyenne, Destiny, Logan, Joshua, Madelyn, Levi, Addilyn, Caleb, Jayce, and Ansleigh; his mother Annette Fetterolf; his sisters, Tammy Snyder (Brian), and Tina Neumann. Also surviving are aunt(s), uncle(s), nieces, nephews, cousins, and a large extended family.

To honor JW's final wishes, there will be no funeral service. A memorial will be planned and announced at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Breakthrough T1D or MUSC Children's Hospital.

Afterlife care has been entrusted to Palmetto Cremation Society, 5638 N Rhett Ave, Charleston, SC 29406.
