Juanita Estelle Tanner

Juanita Estelle Tanner, lovingly known as "Nina", age 86, of Leesville, South Carolina, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Sunday, April 20, 2025 after a life filled with love and resilience.

Born on February 5, 1939 in St Augustine, Florida, she was the daughter of (the late) Vicie Guinn (Lyons) and James Thompson.

Juanita is preceded in death by her spouse James Edgar Tanner, her parents Vicie Guinn and James Thompson, her brothers James "Jim" Thompson, Donald Richard Thompson, James "JE" Thompson, Noah Thompson, Glen Thompson, Tommy Thompson, Speed Thompson, Johnnie Ray Thompson, Randy Thompson, her sisters Dorothy "Dot" Davis, Margie Harris, Mary Guinn and Helen Guinn.

Juanita is survived by her children Patricia Lever, Donald Tanner (Jennifer), Pamela Moore (Earl), her grandchildren James Ryan Smith (Chelsea), Courtney Kenyon (Lance), James Brandon Tanner, Emily Moore, her great-grandchildren Noah Michon, James Smith, Jr., Damien Guiles, Charles Smith, Michael Smith, Samantha Guiles, Paisley Dawson, Jazmin Smith, Lucas Smith, Chloe Smith, her nephew Patrick Thompson, her brother Paul Thompson and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, May 10, 2025, from 1:00 - 4:00pm at the Hollow Creek Community Center, 2701 Priceville Road in Gilbert, SC. We ask all who knew and loved Nina to attend.

Cremation services have been entrusted to Palmetto Cremation Society - Columbia in Cayce, South Carolina.
