Laurel Lee Aldridge

January 30, 1948 — June 28, 2014

Laurel Lee (Littrell) Aldridge, 66, formerly of Westcliffe, Colorado passed away on June 28, 2014 at 5:36 am in Roper St. Frances hospital in Charleston, South Carolina from a fast spreading Cancer. Laurel was born on January 31, 1948 in Canon City Colorado to Herbert and Goldie Littrell. Laurel married Roy Aldridge on June 28, 1970 in Denver, Colorado and in 1981 they moved to California. Laurel and her husband had a wonderful time travelling and living around the world from North America to Europe the Middle East, Africa, Mediterranean and Asia. Laurel is survived by her husband; her son Johnny Mark Aldridge and wife Katie Oakes Aldridge and daughter Kimberly Marie (Aldridge) Khoury and husband Jeff Khoury; and five grandchildren; Lesley Renee (Aldridge) Khoury, Skyler Lee Khoury, Cole Ian Aldridge, Zack Roy Aldridge and Charlotte Kate Evelyn Aldridge. She was the youngest of six sisters and one brother; Colleen Armstrong (deceased), Myrtle Schulze, June Coleman, Mary Patterson (Jim) and Jim Littrell (Deanne) all from Westcliffe along with, Sally LaMora (Don) Colorado Springs and Nancy Hanssen (Wayne) Canon City. Plus numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of Laurel’s life for family and friends with a BBQ will be held at 3 p.m. Friday June 11, 2014 at Mountain View Park, in Canon City.
