CARRINGTON, Lawrence

 Entered into eternal rest the afternoon of Monday, September 30, 2024. Lawrence resided with his daughter Salena Buckheister and her husband Christopher for the past four years in Eutawville, SC. A memorial of life service will be held at Bonneau Pentecostal Holiness Church on Thursday, October 3 at 6 pm with his son, Pastor Cale Carrington, officiating. Additionally, family and friends are invited to attend the celebration of his life and interment October 19, 2024 at three o’clock in the afternoon at 118 Aultman Street, Eutawville, SC as he will be laid to rest in a living urn under a purple Crape Myrtle tree per his final wishes.

 Born April 4, 1938 in Norfolk, Virginia and was reared by his grandmother Annie Carrington. After graduation from high school in Spotsylvania, Virginia, he entered the United States Air Force where he honorably served a four-year enlistment. Shortly after his military service, he ventured into a forty plus year profession as an over the road tractor trailer driver encompassing all of the lower forty-eight states and Canada.

 Surviving Mr. Carrington are his children: Lawrence (Lisa) Carrington of Ridgeville, SC; Salena (Christopher) Buckheister of Eutawville, SC; Alicia (John) Main of New Bern, NC; Mitchell (Carmen) Carrington of Moncks Corner, SC; Rustina (Cody) Creel of Moncks Corner, SC; Cale (Ann) Carrington of Moncks Corner, SC; and honorary daughter Kelly (Limber) Zunun of Jedburg, SC. Also surviving him are his two fur babies Tigre and Panther. Mr. Carrington was also survived by thirty-three grandchildren, forty-three greatgrandchildren, and seven great-greatgrandchildren.

 He was preceded in death by two grandsons: John Carrington and Josh Bunch; his first wife and friend: Lynn Godwin.

 In lieu of flowers, monetary donations may be made in his name to local animal shelters. Anyone attending the celebration of life event, may bring dog and/or cat food to be distributed to local agencies.
