Lester George Williams, age 50, of Ladson, SC passed away on July 31, 2022 after many years of Rheumatoid Arthritis and resulting illnesses.
Lester was born on January 20, 1972 to Merle Claire Cecilia Whittaker Williams and Philip Beekman Williams, Jr. in New Orleans, LA. After high school, Lester trained and became a successful Electrician, completing projects at commercial, residential, industrial, and nuclear facility sites. He traveled with work and was particularly proud of the work he did in his favorite city of New Orleans, LA, including The Court of Two Sisters, Touro Hospital, and the Commander’s Palace. He was honored to assist after Hurricane Katrina to help the people in and around the city.
Besides his love for the city of New Orleans itself, Lester was a huge fan of the New Orleans Saints. Attending football games and practices at the Superdome was something he looked forward to every season. His dog, Brees, was even named after his favorite Saints quarterback, Drew Brees!
The island of Jamaica was very special to Lester as he proposed to Lisa there and celebrated an anniversary with her there one year. It remains full of beautiful memories for Lisa.
Lester was preceded in death by his mother and father, as well as his grandmother and grandfather, Frances and Kenneth Whittaker. He is survived by his wife, Lisa, Aunt Jean Barber, Cousins Cynthia Barber (son, Stephen) and Eddie (wife, Karen) Barber.
Plans for a memorial service will be communicated later. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Rheumatoid Arthritis Foundation or the American Stroke Association in memory of Lester Williams.
