Marcia Ethel Curran

Marcia Ethel (Magwood) Curran of Mount Pleasant, SC was born February 5, 1934 and entered into eternal rest on the November 30, 2024. She is survived by her daughter Marcia Spring Turner of Mount Pleasant, her granddaughter April Nicole Turner also of Mount Pleasant, and a sister Mary Magwood Causey (Robert) of Awendaw, SC. She also has numerous of nephews and nieces who survived her in death. Marcia is the fifth in lime of eleven children of Clarence Augustus Magwood, Sr and Ethel Legare Magwood of Little Bulls Island. All six brothers and three sisters preceded her in death. Marcia was a dedicated daughter who helped to care for her parents and siblings while they were living. She was devoted to her family and always ready to help someone in need. She loved children and worked at Kandy Kane Day Care with her sister Mary in the early 70's and then with the First Baptist Church nursery in Mount Pleasant, SC. Later she worked with her brother Junior at his dock on Shem Creek. She loved golf, playing cards or board gams, and especially flowers, filling her yard with many beautiful blooms. At 90 years of age she was still cook, cleaning and working in her yard until last month of her life. She continually asked for prayers for others and was always giving her little help to those who had less, a lesson she learned from her father. She was deeply loved and will be missed by all those who loved her.
