 Mrs.Mary Bayne, a cherished soul and beloved matriarch, passed away peacefully on October 28, 2024, at the Agape Hospice House in Lexington South Carolina following a long and courageous battle with illness. Born in Greenville, SC, Mary was the beloved daughter of John L Wright and Pearl Wardlaw Wright. On October 24, 1959 she married the love of her life, Meardy Hamilton Bayne, in her hometown. Their union was filled with love and devotion and their legacy of kindness and warmth extends to their family and all who were blessed to know them. 

Mary leaves behind her daughter Mary Ann Bayne Gerard and her son Roger Dale Bayne (Karen). She was a proud and adoring grandmother to Jessica, Josh (Shannon), Kaelyn (Davis), Chad and Michael (Jessica). Mary cherished her great grandchildren Sean Whitner and Zoey Bayne, who each held a special place in her heart. She is also lovingly remembered by her brothers, Jessie Wright of Greenville SC and Robert "Buddy" Wright of Murphy NC, who share a lifetime of memories and family bonds with her. 

Mary is now reunited with her dear husband, Meardy, and her cherished sons, Meardy James Bayne and Paul Douglas Bayne (Harriet), along with her parents, John and Pearl, and her brothers Gerry Ray Wright and Perry Roy Wright. Throughout her life, Mary dedicated herself to her work at Piedmont Industries, also known as Piedmont Shirt, and later found fulfillment in volunteering at Easley Baptist Hospital. Her compassionate service earned her multiple Volunteer of the Month Awards, culminating in the prestigious Volunteer of the Year Award--a testament to her generosity and kindness. Arrangements for services are forthcoming with the family gathering at the home of Mary Ann Bayne Gerard, 204 Rivers Edge Drive, Easley SC 29642.Mary's memory lives on in the hearts of her family and all who had the honor of knowing her. She will be deeply missed, yet her legacy of love and service remains ever-present.
