Mary Anna Barbour

Mary Anna Barbour, 91 of Summerville, South Carolina, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 9, 2023.

Born on February 15, 1932 in Florida, NY she was a daughter of the late Emma LeRoy (Kietzman) and John LeRoy.

Mary was known for her enthusiasm for life, her wit and her sparkling laughter. She was an admirably strong and resilient woman who maintained a positive attitude despite significant adversity early in life.

She enjoyed an active lifestyle and in her younger years was an avid camper and cook. She golfed into her 70's and worked well into her 80's. She also enjoyed trivia and was an lifelong NY Yankees fan.

Mary was incredibly loving and had a passion for animals, especially cats who always seemed to sense her kindness and authenticity. She was a loving mother and nurturing grandmother whose tenacity, advice and thoughtful insights have left a lasting impression on those who were blessed to be closest to her.

Mary was predeceased by her husband Warren and her son Richard. She leaves behind daughter Donna Stickley and son-in law Richard Stickley as well as three grandchildren; Jennifer, Nicole and Suzanne, and two great-grand children. She will be missed.
