Mary Ann Taylor of Summerville, SC entered into eternal rest on January 21, 2025. Mary Ann was born to Joseph and Hermina Michki of Terre Haute, Indiana on June 4, 1937. She had 2 brothers, Joseph and Steve Michki. Her childhood was spent in Terre Haute, IN. where she attended and graduated high school. After high school, Mary Ann enlisted in the US Navy where she worked as a dental hygenist. It was in the Navy that she met the love of her life, George H. Taylor. The two were married on April 7, 1956, and resided in Summerville, SC., where she worked as a seamstress and he was a deputy for Dorchester County. They had 3 children, George Steven, Lawrence Gene, Cassandra Ann (Waddell), 2 grandchildren, RJ and Chris Williams, and 1 great-granddaughter, Cassie Williams. They also had many bonus grands who were loved and cherished. Mary Ann was a member of Saint John the Beloved Catholic Church in Summerville, SC, and a member of In her free time, she enjoyed her garden, koi pond, and cooking shows; although her greatest joy was spending time with her family and close friends.


Mary Ann leaves behind her daughter, Sandra Waddell of Round O, SC, grandsons, RJ Williams (Pam Williams) of Walterboro, SC and Chris Williams of Round O, SC, great-grandaughter, Cassie Williams (William Kirk) of Orangeburg, SC, brother, Joe Michki of Wichita Falls, Texas, sister-in-law, Brenda Michki of Terre Haute,IN., many nieces and nephews, along with a large extended family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Hermina Michki, her husband George H. Taylor, both sons, George Steven and Lawrence Eugene Taylor, her brother Steven Michki, sister-in-law Marge Michki, and son-in-law, James Waddell. 


A private end-of-life celebration will be held for the family following her cremation at the home of her daughter. For those who wish, condolences may be sent to Sandra Waddell 342 Jessie Lane Round-O, SC 29474, or memorial donations may be made to The Hungarian Hall Lodge 2049 North 22nd Street Terre Haute, IN 47804 in lieu of flowers.
