Noreen Smith, 89 of Mount Pleasant, SC, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, July 15th, 2024.
Born on Oct 24, 1934 in Cleveland OH, she was the daughter of the late Nora & Thomas McCarthy.
Raised in Cleveland, OH, her life journeys took her to California then to Maryland where she met her husband of 55 years, William (Bill) Smith. They were married in Rockville, MD, on January 31, 1969. Together they moved to Littleton, CO, where they made their home for 45 years. While in Colorado she made many long lasting friendships while working at Ken's Family Hearth, Managing the Denver Club Building and Working at Control Designs Corp. She loved to spend time with family and friends entertaining, traveling or just spending time together. She was a long-time member of "Light of the World" Church in Littleton, CO. where she enjoyed volunteering and assisting operations.
They loved to travel together with family & friends seeing many parts of the world. This led them to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico were they spent many years making new friends, entertaining family, friends and enjoying time spent together.
In 2013, they moved to Mount Pleasant, SC were she continued to make new friends and her tradition of entertaining family and friends continued.
She had a special gift on making everyone she met feel loved & special.
She also loved her Fur-Babies over the years, Missy, PV and Bunnie.
She leaves behind a legacy of a deep love for her family, friends and a profound and deep love of God.
Noreen is preceded in death by Nora & Thomas McCarthy (Parents), Tom & Eileen McCarthy (brother& sister-in-law), Bill & Marge McCarthy (brother & sister-in-law), Dick & Marge McCarthy (brother & sister-in-law), Lois & Marshall Synder (sister-in-law & brother-in-law).
Noreen is survived by William Smith (spouse), Sherry Smith (daughter), Craig & Sandra Smith (son & daughter-in-law), Kevin Smith (son), Lori Vining (granddaughter), Chris Smith (grandson), Jamie Manriquez (granddaughter), Kyle Smith (grandson) and Skylar Richardson (great-granddaughter),Ray & Sally Smith (brother-in-law & sister-in-law), Linda & Ted Veneman (sister-in-law & brother-in-law), 18 Nieces & Nephews, 35 Great-Nieces & Nephews, 31 Great-Great Nieces & Nephews and several God-Children.
Noreen requested that no services are to be held.
