March 27, 1934-June 18, 2014 Pawleys Island Peggy Ann Thomason, 80, of Pawleys Island passed away June 18, 2014, at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. She was one of ten children, born in Greenville, S.C., to the former Lula Taylor and James M. Hendrix. She is survived by her husband of 61 years, James F. Thomason; three children, Sharon T. Glenn (Paul) of Winston-Salem, N.C., Brenda T. Molony (Raymond) of Beaufort, S.C., and James Scott Thomason of Atlanta, Ga.; five grandchildren, Dillard G. Cheek (Clay), of Los Angeles, Calif., Bridgett M. Tupper (Lee) of Charlotte, N.C., Paul B. Glenn Jr., of Winston-Salem, N.C., James F.T. Glenn of New York, N.Y., and Raymond D. Molony III of Beaufort, S.C.; and two brothers, Lee Hendrix and Jim Hendrix, both of Greenville, S.C. Over the years, Peggy and her husband, Jim, resided in Spartanburg, S.C., Kohler, Wis., and Plano, Texas, before retiring to Pawleys Island eight years ago. She was a member of St. Paul’s Waccamaw United Methodist Church. She enjoyed volunteer work throughout her life. Her hobbies included cycling, gardening, bridge, golf and cross-country skiing. One of her favorite activities was walking the beaches of Litchfield. A memorial service will be held at St. Paul’s Waccamaw United Methodist Church on Tuesday, June 24, at 11:00 am.
