Rena Doris Fletcher was born on February 10, 1923. She grew up in Beverly, New Jersey near the Delaware River.
She was determined to attend college but grew up in the depression of 1930. Rena joined the Waves and served during WWII. After earning the GI Bill, Rena attended Western Maryland College where she graduated with a degree in Sociology. At college she met Thomas Fletcher, soon after married. They were happily married for 63 years.
Rene loved square dancing,line dancing, tennis and ice skating. She worked as an Administrative Assistant until she retired at the age of 65.
Rena and Tom raised three children. They had five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. They lived in New Jersey, Colorado, Oregon and retired in South Carolina.
Rena was a loving and kind person. We are forever grateful for the love that Rena shared with us and for who she helped us become.
