Robert H. Day Jr, "Robby" 64 of Charleston, South Carolina, passed away on Saturday, December 7, 2024.Born on February 4, 1960 in Charleston, SC was a beloved husband, son, father, papa, and uncle.

Robert was passionate about sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He loved his family unconditionally and spoiled the family dog endlessly. His kindness knew no boundaries, he would help anyone in need within his capabilities. Robert was a collector of many things & had the gift of being able to fix most things that were broken, or to be able to engineer a solution to fix an issue, whether at home or on the job. He was a talented craftsman welder, truly an art form, his welds were flawless. He enjoyed studying & learning scripture, fishing, hunting shark teeth/artifacts and growing plants.

Robert was a very hard worker working on many military bases welding on ships. He worked in Beaufort, SC on base, in Mexico on Mexican Naval ships outdated & donated from the US Navy, in Virginia Beach on the Hellcats, & trained welders in Egypt. In his last position he worked at the USCG base Charleston, where he achieved several accolades, and formed close Coast Guard family/friend work ties. Robert was from a multi-generational West Ashley Charlestonian heritage.

Robert is survived by Pamela Day (Spouse), Paula Day (Mother), Mark Day (Brother), Windy Worthy (Sister), Leon Worthy (Brother-in-law), Kellie Day (Daughter), Chrystal Day (Daughter), Hunter Chesser (Grandson), Erica Feagin (Granddaughter), Emily Feagin (Granddaughter), Madison (Granddaughter), Kaylea Walker (Granddaughter), Kaydence Walker (Granddaughter), Kyra Walker (Granddaughter), Mark Hall (Brother-in-law), Otto (Bubba) Rakoske (Uncle), Mike Rakoske (Uncle), Denise Rakoske (Aunt), Bryce Day (Uncle), Anita Kerezman (Aunt), 6 nieces, 7 nephews and 6 cousins.

The service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, 12/14/2024 at Calvary Chapel West Ashley, 1595 Savannah Highway in Charleston, SC.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, 12/14/2024, from 2:30 PM - 5:30 PM at VFW Post 5091, 4257 Spruill Ave. in North Charleston, SC.
