Robert Edward Griffin

Robert Edward Griffin Sr, 76, of Charleston, South Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2024.

Born on February 10, 1948 in Fort Myers, VA he was a son of the late Vivian Griffin (Lindberg) and Robert Griffin.

Bob was an Army Veteran, who enjoyed his church, music, fishing, tactical sports, golf, and working with his hands- but most of all he loved his family. He was a smart, funny, humble and generous man; a great father, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend and patriot, who will be missed by all whose lives he touched.

Bob is preceded in death by his parents Vivian and Robert Griffin, and his siblings Billy Griffin, Jimmy Griffin, and Kathi Griffin .

Bob is survived by his sisters, Kelli Griffin and Patti Ewing, his children, Colleen Large and Robert Griffin Jr., and his grandchildren Abigail Szostak, Kelsey Butler, Angel Hunt-Griffin, Kylie Griffin, Collin Griffin, Ava Griffin, and James Wingate.

Bob's service will be held at Maryland Veterans Cemetery, 1122 Sunrise Beach Road in Crownsville, Maryland with a brief reception to follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to The Salvation Army, The Wounded Warrior Project, or his church Rehoboth United Methodist Church in Cottageville, South Carolina.
