After living thousands of adventures in 70 years, Robert Michael Hart, Jr. passed away peacefully on January 4, 2025.
“Some of it’s magic, and some of it’s tragic, but I had a good life all the way”
Robbie grabbed life by the lapels, kissed it, danced it across the sky, around the mountains, and to the sea.
In his 20s, he trained and flew solo his first Cessna plane. This is an accomplishment he was particularly proud to achieve. Back on the ground, he took more of an interest in cars, deciding to buy and show Corvettes for almost a decade. Robbie filled a room with trophies during his car show years.
He earned a living as a top-notch appliance repair person breathing life into something most would toss aside. He could see the potential and knew he was able to fix the issue. This was his gift, he could repair anything.
Robbie thoroughly enjoyed dancing, and took every opportunity to cut a rug. He was always the life of the party, and if there wasn’t a party, Robbie could create one. His energy was calming and could make anyone feel right at home.
He enjoyed people, he had charm and a sincere southern kindness that drew people to him. Conversations with strangers or loved ones it didn’t matter he reveled in them all.
Once Robbie obtained his captains license, the sea was his heart and soul. Living life like a Jimmy Buffet song was his sweet spot. Barefoot, watching the setting sun catch fire to the ocean around him, as he grilled a perfect steak on the back of his boat, dancing to the background tunes, storytelling with family and friends.
“We’re built to cruise for but a while upon this trackless sea
Until one day we sail away into infinity”
His laughter, ease of friendship, calm nature and presence is incredibly missed by his family and friends.
”Gone where? Gone only from our sight
And from our farewell cries; that ship will somewhere reappear to other eager eyes.”
Robbie has joined his parents, sister, and a host of family and friends on new adventures.
There will be a private service.
The family asks in remembrance of Robbie, perform a random act of kindness.
