Robert Edward Olson, Jr.

Robert Edward Olson, Jr. passed away peacefully next to his loving wife of over 50 years, Donnajean. He is also survived by his three children Robert III, his namesake, Lindsey, his baby girl and her two children Isla and Finn, and Nicholas, his doppelganger.

 

Robert, known by family and friends as Bob, was an extremely hardworking and fiercely loyal man. He was incredibly proud of his childrens swimming successes and spent many years on the pool deck as a USA Swimming official. His love for architecture ranged from preserving the past to persuing future applications.

 

Whether he was restoring an old train station into the East Bay Harris Teeter, insulating a school through a hill, or creating a state of the art training facility for the U.S. Navy, he was fully committed to the well being and betterment of his family and could light up a room with his presence and humor.

 

He is deeply loved and will be sorely missed, but we are happy to know Heaven gained one of the good ones. We love you so much and see you in the next life.
