Rodger Stuart Itkor, 72, of Hilton Head Island, South Carolina passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at the MUSC Medical Center in Charleston after a lengthy illness. Rodger was born July 10, 1943 in the Bronx, NY to Ira and Henrietta Itkor. He attended City College of New York. On December 23, 1971 he married the former Sandra Miller with whom he celebrated 44 years of marriage. Rodger was employed in the advertising and marketing field and started his own company, Blue Phrog Productions, in the 1970’s. He worked with major national accounts, and enjoyed a reputation as one of the top agencies in his field. He enjoyed fishing, boating, and golf. He was proud to have hit a hole-in-one. Rodger is survived by his loving wife, Sandra Itkor; his son Joshua Itkor and his wife Anneliza of Hilton Head Island, SC; his son Joseph Itkor and his wife Heidi of Hackettstown, NJ; two grandchildren, Emily and Lauren of Hackettstown, NJ and his beautiful dog, Sasha. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ira Itkor (1977), and Henrietta Itkor (2001). Rodger was notorious for his wonderful sense of humor and hearty contagious laugh. Always the silly prankster, he loved to play jokes and make others smile. Rodger, a loving person, always had a helping hand to extend and took great pleasure in assisting people in any way he could. He was also a devoted animal lover. A private celebration of Rodger’s life will be held this summer. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hilton Head Humane Association in Rodger’s name.
