Rodney Travis, age 75, passed away on April 20th 2019 while kiteboarding on Folly Beach.
Rodney was born in 1943 in Oldham, England to Edmund and Edna Travis.
Rodney celebrated 30 years of marriage with Abby Chestnut-Travis. He had two children Jason and Victoria Travis; four sisters Penelope, Wendy, Pamela, and Jill; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Rodney co-owned a tool and die machine company until he retired in 2015. His real passion was God, his family, kiteboarding, gardening, and being an artist. Everyone that knew him felt he was a gentle, caring, and individual. He had many friends in the kiteboarding community and was also a friend of Bill W for 42 years. No words can describe how much he is loved and missed.
