Surrounded by family they renewed their wedding vows on their 20th anniversary. As time has gone on they kept on singing their song for 38 years (You are my Sunshine, My Only Sunshine). Surviving are his wife (Wanda A. Sturdevant), Four of their children: Von Sturdevant, Bonnie McBride, Allan and Jen McBride, Paula (the Pest) Duncan, Two brothers and a sister: Mr. and Mrs. Larry Sturdevant, Dennis Sturdevant and companion, and Barbra Vavra. Six grandchildren, two great grandchildren. In Heaven he is reunited with two sons whom had passed before their time (James McBride and Jeffery Sturdevant). We love you and will always miss you. Forever in our hearts and prayers. Thanks for being the Dad and stepping up when we needed you most. Services will be held at the V.F.W. Lodge 3433 in Summerville, SC on March 30th at 2:00pm.
