Ronald Edward Hawkins, 59, of Lodge, SC passed away peacefully, Saturday, November 21, 2015 in his sister’s, Terrie Seigler’s care and home. He was born September 27, 1956 in Fort Stockton, Texas. He was a graduate of John C. Calhoun High School and attended Bob Jones University Institute. He married the former Vickie Babson on August 5, 1977 in Greenville SC. Together they had two children, Heather and Jerel. He was employed by several trucking companies and eventually owned his own business. Due to his line of work, he traveled the United States extensively and told of his wonderful sights and many adventures. As a Christian, he was dedicated to sharing God’s word through his own testimony. He approached life with fun loving spontaneity. This was cut short by an illness in 2009, but his love for the Lord and dedication in prayer remained his life’s priority. Ronald is survived by his two children, Heather Hawkins Allison and her husband, Josh of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Jerel Hawkins and his wife, Marianne of Ridgeland, SC and three grandchildren; his sisters, Phyllis Williams, Terrie Seigler, Melinda Araneo; step-father, Jesse Brabham; nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward Hawkins, Senie Brabham, and sister, Sandra Wright. A private memorial will be held at 2 p.m. November 29, 2015 in Lodge at 8582 Lodge Hwy, Lodge, SC.
