Rozanne Elizabeth Cuda

March 21, 1948 — January 27, 2019

Cuda, Rozanne “Rorie”

"Loving Wife, Mother, Grammi, Aunt, Sister and Friend"

Ms. Rozanne E. Cuda, 70, a recent resident of Charleston, SC, passed away Sunday, January 27, 2019 at 12:25am at the Roper St. Francis Hospice Cottages located in Mount Pleasant with a smile left on her beautiful face. She was the beloved wife for 46 years of the late Joseph L. Cuda.

Rorie was born in Derby, CT on March 21, 1948, daughter of the late Nicholas Imperato and Elvira (LaTasse) Imperato. She was co-owner of Tire Brokers in Waterbury, CT for 31 years before retiring and spending time with friends, family and vacationing. In May 2018, Rorie had relocated from Prospect, CT to Charleston, SC in order to be closer to her immediate family, her loving son, Jared and his daughter, Sabrina Cuda. Rorie and Joe Cuda had spent many years raising their family in Seymour, CT and then moved to Southbury, CT for a number of years.

Along with her loving son, Jared and granddaughter, Sabrina, she is also survived by her granddaughters; Julia and Mariah Cuda of Southbury, CT, daughters of another son, Jason Cuda, sisters; Paula (Imperato) Byrne, Judy (Imperato) Dunne, many loving nieces and nephews, including Cory (Dunne) Bartone, Dominick Cuda, Dan Cuda, Greg Cuda, Keith Cuda as well as others. Rorie was also predeceased by her elder brother, Nicholas (Pete) F. Imperato. Finally she is also survived by a saint of woman, “ex” sister-in-law, Mary Ellen Baugh-Swartz of Ohio, whom helped guide Rorie to heaven with her 26+ year veteran hospice nursing experience.

Rorie Cuda was a selfless person, whom never wanted any spotlight of attention and lived a life of complete honesty, integrity and compassion for those around her. She inspired everyone to do be a better person, to succeed in life, to treat people fairly and she never wanted anything in return. As a devoted friend, mother, wife, aunt and grandmother, she quietly achieved an inordinate amount of successes in her lifetime that she would never boast about. Her legacy is that of a true American Patriot that graciously spread sunshine into people’s lives on a daily basis while rarely asking anyone else to do for her what she has done for them. She will be forever missed, loved, adored, respected and appreciated for all of her deeds while on this earth… She was truly an amazing and wonderful human being that any person would love to emulate

Arrangements: In true Rorie Cuda fashion, her wishes were to skip any type of services and, instead, for her son, Jared, to deliver her ashes to those closest to her heart so that those ashes may be spread in locations that those loved ones feel would make her happy.

Also, in lieu of flowers or gifts of any kind, Memorial Contributions can be made in Rorie’s memory to a charity/church of your choice.
