Sheila Sauls, 69 of North Charleston SC, passed away on Aug. 5th, 2023.
Born on October 18th 1953 in Monroe, Florida was a Daughter of Rose Wright and John Sauls.
Sheila lived in Florida for most of her adolescent life and moved to the Charleston area later to be closer to her children. In Florida she made friends and had many people cherish her. Shelia went to school for cosmetology and loved everything in the beauty industry. She never really had much growing up and tried her hardest to make sure her grandchildren Palmer and Philip did not go without. She had sole custody of her grandchildren and made sure they did well in school and would walk them to their bus stop to pick them up everyday. She was relentless in her efforts to be the best she could be for them.
Her life was a modest one but it was full of love. She loved to cook and bake for her loved ones. Every year she loved to cook a big Thanksgiving for her children and grandchildren even if there wasn't many people to feed. She had the best sense of humor and could make you laugh even when you wanted to cry. She never wanted to burden others with her hardships or ask for help.
Shelia loved her coffee in the morning and watching Law and Order and CSI. She found joy in the small things in life and wanted nothing more then her family to grow and prosper in every way. She prayed for her family and believed in God and everything he has to offer for her and her family. She was loved dearly by all who were close to her. We will miss her until our last breath and when we speak of her we will speak of happy moments and loving memories.
Sheila is preceded in death by Rose Wright (Mother), John Sauls (Father), and Joshua Williamson (Son).
Sheila is survived by Kelly Wallace (Daughter), Jason Wallace (Son), Palmer Wingate (Granddaughter), Philip Wingate (Grandson), and Devin Cragg (Granddaughter).
The family will receive friends on Sheila's Birthday October 18th, 2023. We want to have a celebration of life and talk about happy memories of her. If anyone wants to come and send a prayer and talk about her memory, then we will have people meet us at Folly Beach (James Island, South Carolina) by the lighthouse at the end of the road at 6:00 pm. We would like to light some candles and pray, then go out to eat. So if you would like to come join us, then you all are more than welcome to come.
We will not have a service because she would not have liked for us to make a big deal and wanted us to be happy in her stead. We want to honor her memory and be respectful of her wishes. She loved her family and loved food, so we want to incorporate all that for a lovely evening on her birthday. Any and all are welcome and encouraged.
