Stanley Oliver Martin

Stanley Oliver Martin, 69 of Ridgeville, South Carolina, passed away on Thursday, February 1, 2024 surrounded by family. 

Born on July 26, 1954 in Hemmingway, SC he was the son of the late Annie Sue Martin (Parsons) and Stanley T. Martin.

Stanley (Obbie) was a retired over the road truck driver and a master carpenter. He was a jack of all trades and could fix just about anything. He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman. He enjoyed quiet afternoons in his deer stand accompanied by his brother Derin, and lifelong friend Steven Hartzell. He also had a great love of the water and often enjoyed fishing adventures with John, Harold, and Tony. He loved nothing better than to cook a family meal on a Sunday afternoon. His sense of humor brought smiles to all of those around him. 

Stanley is preceded in death by Annie Martin (Mother), Stanley Martin (Father).

Stanley is survived by his son Ryan Martin, his sister Sheila Martin Tant, (John Lightsey), and her son (Martin Tant). Also his brother Jimmy parsons (Lynn), brother Donnie Martin and his children (Donnie, Ronnie, Johnny, and Brandy), and brother Derin Martin and his son (Greggory Martin).

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Donnie Martin.
