Thomas Rhinehart Butschky was born in Baltimore, Maryland on December 3, 1932 of Henry and Mamie Butschky. His siblings are all deceased. He is survived by one son, Michael Thomas.
Tom started schooling at a very young age at Briarcliffe Military Academy, then going to public schools in Maryland finally attending college at Cornell University.
He was in the US Coast Guard for four years which later developed into a love for boating. After leaving the service he was hired by Bendix and worked on communications. He had numerous opportunities working on the US carrier fleet installing high tech apparatus. He retired from Bendix and decided to buy a franchise at Radio Shack with the new TRS-80 just coming out. The first computer captured his imagination and he never veered from that tract.
He was employed by Computer Sciences Corporation where he worked until retiring officially in 2000.
He retired to Myrtle Beach, SC where he enjoyed his other passion, golf.
