Trecia T. Skipper, 71, of Hanahan passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 26, 2017 after a long battle with cancer. Trecia was born November 4, 1946 to the late Lewis Turner and Essie LaFoy in Greenville, SC. After graduating from Lander University on an Education Academic Scholarship, Trecia was a teacher for several years. As a dedicated mother, Trecia was involved in various sports activities and organizations such as the Boy Scouts as Den Leader to include President of the Parents Teachers Association (PTA). Trecia was also a successful local recognized artist and a member of the Charleston Artist Guild. She then became a local business owner successfully managing “Treasures and Traditions” in the old North Charleston commercial district for several years. Trecia then became a well-recognized real estate agent in Charleston spanning 30 years. She lived her life with a warm southern charm and grace that will be sorely missed by all whom had the pleasure to know her. She is survived by her children Fred and Russell Skipper. Memorial services will be held at Yeamans Park Presbyterian Church in Hanahan on Sunday, December 10 at 2pm. The family will receive guest during a reception immediately following the memorial
