Valerie Brown

Dedicated wife and mother, Valerie Brown, passed away on Saturday, January 28th surrounded by great caretakers and two loving siblings. She was 54 years old and only 18 days away from her 55th birthday. Born to Jan and Mary Walthall in 1968, Valerie graduated from Summerville High School where she met her husband, Daral Brown.  A few years later, she married and remained married to him for over 15 years until his passing in 2014.

Continuing her education, she took accounting courses at Trident Technical College to receive a certification in bookkeeping. Valerie was both funny and memorable. She loved watching 80s movies and reruns of her favorite TV shows like Supernatural and Angel. In recent years, she loved to laugh at TikTok videos with her kids.

Through the loss of the love of her life, she still remained strong and resilient. However, most importantly, she was a devoted and loving mother to her two children, Nicholas Taylor and Eliza Daral Brown. Valerie is survived by her children, her parents and seven loving siblings, James (Leda) Walthall; John (Edith) Walthall; Brenda Bradley, Carolyn Bennett; Marie Galloway; Joan (Jerry) Mixon, and Jannette (Truman) White. 

Rest in paradise with eternal love. We will miss you forever.
