William Van Bramer Fish, 65, of Charleston, SC, formerly of Pelican Rapids, MN and Minneapolis, MN, died Friday, January 1st at his residence. Bill was a genuinely friendly and warm hearted man, a loving and supportive father, grandfather, brother, and uncle, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Bill was born in Minneapolis on June 1st, 1950. He graduated from Hopkins High School in 1970. He loved fishing and the out of doors and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his son, Edward B. Fish of American Canyon, CA; daughter, Julie Fish, and grandchildren, Shane and Lisa, all of Kalamazoo, MI; sister, Susan Fish of Brimson, MN; brothers, Myron “Mike†Maher, Jr. (Barbara) of Stafford, VA, and Thomas Fish (Sharon Reeck) of Charleston, SC; brother-in-law, W. Rick Riddle of Minneapolis, MN; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Phyllis (Van Bramer) Maher; father, Edward H. Fish; stepmother, Beverly (Solum) Fish; and sister, Lisa (Fish) Riddle. A small gathering of family and friends will be held in his honor later this year.
